Shelton City Council Selects Mark Ziegler as Interim City Manager

The Shelton City Council unanimously selected Mark Ziegler to serve as Interim City Manager at their March 21 meeting.

“It is an honor for this opportunity to serve my community,” said Ziegler. “As a lifelong Shelton resident, I look forward to continuing to build relationships with our community members, Council, and staff.”

Ziegler will assume the Interim City Manager role on April 1, following the departure of City Manager Jeff Niten.

“Mark is an excellent choice to serve as Interim City Manager,” said Niten. “His knowledge of this community and government are tremendous assets for the City and will ensure a seamless transition.”

Ziegler is the City’s Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Director and has previously served as Community Development Director. He has 30 years of municipal government experience and is an active volunteer with numerous community groups.
