Streets
The Street department has a total of 4 full time employees who are responsible for maintaining 63.5 miles of roads 4.5 miles of which are gravel. They are also responsible for maintenance of alleys and right of ways. Maintenance tasks include, patching, paving, grading gravel roads and parking strips, crack sealing, chip sealing, roadside mowing, street sweeping, pedestrian path maintenance.
Services provided by the Street department include:
- Traffic control, such as roadway striping, crosswalk painting, street signs, traffic signals
- Snow and ice removal
- Flood control
- Drain cleaning
- Ditch and culvert maintenance
- Storm drainage infrastructure maintenance
- Filling potholes
- Grading alleyways
- Street sweeping & Litter removal
