NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Proposed Amendment to the City of Shelton Comprehensive Plan

A public meeting hearing before the City of Shelton Commission is scheduled for March 22, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Shelton Civic Center Commission Chambers, located at 525 W. Cota Street, that is scheduled to provide a detailed presentation and briefing to the City Commissioners and public regarding the 2009 Shelton Comprehensive Plan Amendment, including CPA 01-09: Parcels 420142000010 and 420141000000 consisting of approximately 160 acres of land located south of Sanderson Field; Map change, Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Designation Commercial/Industrial (C/I) to Neighborhood Residential (NR). Applicant: Hall Equities/Shelton Hills Investors.

The City does not anticipate taking public comment at the presentation and briefing on March 22.  This meeting is intended to provide the City Commissioners and public with a detailed presentation of the proposal, a briefing on the comments submitted during the SEPA process, and to provide responses to the concerns raised.

A PUBLIC HEARING is tentatively scheduled for the proposal on April 5, 2010 at the City of Shelton Civic Center at 6:00 p.m.   At that time public comment on the proposal is encouraged and will be taken and entered into the public record.
