Shelton, WA - On Tuesday, December 19th at around 12:00 PM, Shelton Police were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Wallace Kneeland Boulevard in response to a robbery. A local business owner reported that a male suspect was stealing merchandise from their store. When the business owner confronted the suspect, the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the store owner. The suspect then fled towards a nearby bus stop.
Deputies from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, and Officers from the Shelton Police Department, located the suspect less than a block away. The suspect is a 22-year-old male resident of Shelton. He was immediately taken into custody without incident. The stolen merchandise and weapon were recovered from the possession of the suspect.
